Artist's House, Fowey Cornwall’s magic always works at the Artist’s House tranquil setting over looking Fowey harbour.

Owned and run by textile artist Vivien Prideaux, who looks forward to welcoming you to her comfortable, eco friendly home and helping to make your stay in the area a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Artist’s House is a five minute walk from the town centre and a short drive to the major tourist attractions like the Eden Project, Heligan Gardens. We have on site parking and secure parking for motorbikes and cycles.

Fowey pronounced ‘Foy’ is on the South East Coast of the Cornwall in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With its winding streets, painted old houses and Victorian Villas on the west of the Fowey river estuary, this beautiful waterside town makes an ideal base to explore the area. It’s busy natural harbour, has ferries across to Polruan (foot) and Bodinnick (car). There are many historic buildings in the town, including the ruins of St Catherine’s Castle, while Readymoney Cove is the local beach.

Fowey has an excellent range of restaurants, pubs and shops to suit most tastes.

Sailing and motor boat hire is available at the Town Quay.

From the M5 in Devon, Fowey is reached by either the A30 at Bodmin or the A38/A390 from Plymouth.

From West Cornwall the area is best reached by using the A390 via St Austell. It is also a short taxi ride from the main line railway station at Par and on the bus route 25 from St Austell.

Pick ups can be arranged from Par main line railway station, bikers and cyclists are very welcome.

You have the choice of calling or emailing Vivien to make a personal booking or you can book on line through Eviivo booking agent. You are not charged a booking fee, but the Artist’s House incurs a minimum of a 12% commission on your total accommodation bill as well as paying a monthly service charge to the agent for the on line facility.
